EVERETT RAYMOND KINSTLER: PAINTER EXTRAORDINAIRE

Tony Bennett, a painter aswell as a singer, compares Everett Raymond Kinstler to John SingerSargent.  “Kinstler is thatgood.”  Starting out at age 16 as acomic book illustrator, Kinstler has painted portraits, 1200 in all, includingseven presidents, from Nixon to the Bushes, as well as college presidents,senators, governors and well - known personalities, from John Wayne toKatherine Hepburn to Carol Burnett and Paul Newman.
Born in New York and livingnow in Easton, Connecticut, Kinstlerhas a one-man exhibit of hiswork “Pulps to Portraits” currently at the Bellarmine Museum on the campus ofFairfield University in Fairfield through September 28, 2012.  He will speak about his work at 5 p.m.on Thursday, September 20 at 5 p.m., followed by a reception at 6 p.m. at theBellarmine.  The exhibit is freeand open to the public, and was organized by the Norman Rockwell Museum inStockbridge, Massachusetts.
